3.) I think that throughout the semester I have grown as an artist because instead of prioritizing finishing my art I have started to focus more on accuracy and using my time wisely on my pieces not just for school but for personal work too. I do think that some of my work is an accurate reflection of my progress but some of my work is messy because it was rushed.
4.) The two mini lessons that I felt were the most beneficial toward my art was the 100-pattern sheets that we did for the pen and ink unit and the other was the fill in the pattern horizon sheet which was also in the pen and ink unit. The 100-pattern sheet helped me think outside of the box and be more creative in my art work instead of just doing basic styles and designs. This was beneficial to my pen and ink project because it made me think about the diversity in designs that I was using on the page. The horizon fill in the pattern sheet helped me learn how to contour the designs to the shape of the piece to make it more 3-D. Both practices helped me slow down and have a steadier hand which resulted in a neater and cleaner project.
6.) my favorite medium that we worked with was pen and ink because It is my favorite piece that I did. I had never used pen to do a full drawing before, so it was a good learning experience. My piece came out very clean. All the textures I did were really detailed and good the only thing I did not like about this piece was the tail on the front bird, I made a design that did not fit the shape of the tail and made the end of the bird look flat and rushed.
7.) The project that i feel was least successful was my copy-cat painting. I think that this is my least successful painting because the proportions were very wrong and my colors were not as accurate as i would have wanted them to be. If i were to do this painting again i would draw it out and think through everything i did to the painting instead of just winging it and rushing. I think that is what i would do if i were to do any of my projects over again, slowing down and thinking it through more before doing anything.
